26th Annual Viking/Ocean Showdown
This July marks the 26th Annual Viking/Ocean Showdown. Where fisherman from all over come to compete in this 5-day competition.

Bob Glover is coordinating the event and here is what he has to say about this years event:
The 26th Annual Viking/Ocean Showdown (July 15-19, 2015) is a great opportunity to get together with like-minded owners, members of each manufacturer’s family, and their factory representatives for four days of fishing and fun. These two giants in the world of sportfishing build their boats a mere 30 minutes from each other here in southern New Jersey, and that makes for a natural and entertaining rivalry. It is all about good-natured competition, camaraderie and enjoying our sport. And truth be told, it is probably the most fun and ‘stress-less’ of all of our events! There’ll be plenty of time to relax, enjoy nightly dinners, cocktail parties and other fun dockside activities – all in true South Jersey Tournament style.
Besides the fun, this event will determine annual Brag’n Rights for the winning team and we know how important that can be! Even the dock talk and one-up-manship is worth the price of admission!
This past year, the perpetual Showdown Trophy adorned the offices of Viking Yachts as they edged out Ocean in 2014 in what was a ferocious billfish battle to the end! Team Ocean’s leader John Leek IV says “they caught a lucky break!” But according to Viking’s Pat Healy “we came, we caught and we conquered!” Any early bets on 2015?
